Jimmy Baker

Jimmy Baker, son of the late Kenneth "Jack" Baker and Shirley Ann Woodruff Baker, was born on Aug. 31, 1963, in Flint, Mich., and died at his residence in Pocahontas, Ark., on June 28, 2009, at the age of 45.

Mr. Baker was a former employee of Tyson Foods in Dexter, a former delivery driver with Overturf Healthmart in Dexter, formerly a resident of Dexter currently residing in Pocahontas, Ark.

Survivors include one son, Curtis Baker of Pocahontas, Ark.; one daughter, Summer Baker of Dexter; one brother, Kenneth "Ken" Baker of Dexter; maternal grandmother, Mary Bessie Woodruff of Dexter; other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Baker and one sister, Charlotte Baker.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Gerald Fears officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
