Snider was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter, a former employee of Elder's Manufacturing in Dexter and a resident of Dexter.
She was first united in marriage to Charles Eugene Shipman. Shipman preceded her in death. She was then married to Elzie Snider. Snider also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, JoAnn Shipman Keller of Farmington; by one brother, Junior Franklin Stoker of Bloomfield; by three sisters, Norma Lee Gough of Flint, Mich., Helen F. Shipman and Clara Bagby of Dexter; by six grandchildren, Shannon Shipman, Lisa Bledsoe, Sean Shipman, Brad Layton, Theresa Williamson, Ronda Palmer; by 10 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, John F. Shipman and Richard Eugene Shipman; by one grandson, Danny Ross; by four brothers, Lester Woodrow Stoker, Leon Edwin Stoker, Toy Stoker and Lloyd A. Stoker; by two sisters, Norma Marie Glenn and Pearl Volkerding.
Visitation will be at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2009. Funeral services will then be conducted at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joshua Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
