With festivities scheduled throughout the day, people can be assured that there will no shortage of fun at any time.
Events on hand will include water for kids to play in, a cake walk, and a farmer's market. Smoky the Bear will also be on hand teaching about fire safety and the water dog will be teaching about water safety.
There will also be first aid/raffle tent set up, frisbee golf, washers, horseshoes, bingo, a car smash, a water dunk tank, ladder ball and a cook shack.
Several other events taking place include a beauty pageant, a softball tournament and a cook off. All of those events must be registered by July 3.
Beginning at 4 p.m. and lasting until 9 p.m. there will be live music. The National Anthem will be sung by Heather Mayo.
From 7-9 p.m. Darrell Ray will be performing an American Trilogy Elvis show.
Fireworks will be shot off around 9 p.m.
So far, a number of items have been donated to raffle including 4-$25 gas cards from J&R Quick Shop, a baby quilt from Patricia's Uniforms, Cardinal baseball tickets, a free Wethington Tire oil change and free Electric Beach tanning minutes.
In addition, a number of donations were given to make the event possible including ice from Christian's Store for the cook shack, a $40 gift certificate from Town and Country, 10-cooked pulled butts from J&R Quick Shop and Zeros and sodas donated by Jerry Moore.
Due to limited parking at the park during the festivities, people are being asked to park at either the Justice Center or at Bloomfield Schools after 4 p.m. Shuttles will be running to and from these locations every 15 minutes until after the fireworks.
Volunteers and helpers are still very much in need for the event, so anyone interested should call 421-1007 and leave a message if there is no answer.

Bloomfield is screwed up....need to get with the program folks. 4th of July celebrations are to be held July 3rd this year, just ask the geniuses in Dexter.
LOl.....yeah really, what 'Hoon said! It is a shame that Bloomfield, a much smaller town than Dexter, is pulling together to have a real celebration on the actual holiday.
Thank you for putting in your comment that Bloomfield is a much smaller town then Dexter. I'm sure the readers of this website would never have known that.
