Cozette Williamson, daughter of the late Riley and Wilma "Kate" Robinson Hester, was born in Idalia on Aug. 10, 1929, and died at her home in Essex on July 3, 2009, at the age of 79.
Cozette had lived in the Essex area most all her life. She had retired from Elders Manufacturing and attended church at the South Pleasant Valley Church in Essex.
On March 31, 1945, she was married to Parvin Williamson in Bloomfield. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1990.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law: Parvin (Carolyn) Williamson, Jr. of Dexter, Missouri. One daughter: Wilma McGuire of Essex; three brothers: Dalton Hester of Port Charlotte, Fla., Rudolph Hester of O'Fallon and Gary Hester of Poplar Bluff; three sisters: Bonnie Lefler of Ste. Genevieve, Jackie Eves of Bernie, and Janice Middgett of Dexter; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons: Larry Joe and Tim Williamson; two sisters: Betty Long and Donna Faye Hester, and two brothers: Dale Hester and James Hester.
Visitation will be held Monday July 6, 2009, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. James Malloy of Essex, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Triplet Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri.
