Jonnie Sue Copeland

Jonnie Sue Copeland, daughter of the late Frank Cravens and Dot Parks Cravens, was born on April 29, 1950, at Flint, Mich., and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on July 4, 2009 at the age of 59.

Mrs. Copeland attended the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, was employed by the Dexter Wal-Mart as a cashier, and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Alton "Allen" Copeland on Jan. 16, 1971, at Dexter. Mr. Copeland preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2007.

Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Marchant and Melissa Copeland, both of Dexter; one son-in-law, Ed Marchant; two grandchildren, Courtney Copeland and Nikki Marchant; two brothers, Don Cravens and Cam Cravens; three sisters, Nellie Saltsman, Bonnie Gridnheim and Cathy Cravens; special friends and family, Shirley and Johnny Copeland of Essex, Joyce Copeland of Harrison, Ark., Joanna and Leonard Pack of Bloomfield, Ann and John Wright formerly of Bernie, Jim and Mary Harris of Dexter and Randy and Peggy Kinder of Dexter.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2009.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
