Myrtle Dodge

Myrtle Dodge, daughter of the late Fred Henderson and Etta Robinson Henderson, was born on April 28, 1924, at Dexter and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on July 9, 2009, at the age of 85.

Mrs. Dodge was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter, a retired cosmetologist and resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Fred Franklin Dodge on Aug. 31, 1946, at Piggott, Ark. Mr. Dodge preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1961.

She is survived by one son, Fred Steven Dodge of Leawood, Kan.; one daughter, Claudia Rampley of Bloomfield; one grandson, Jeff Rampley of Bloomfield; one great-grandson, Kennett Rampley of Bloomfield.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard Henderson, Fred Henderson, Elmer Henderson, Marteen Henderson and Earl Henderson; four sisters, Marie Rahe, Mildred Henderson, Pauline Pounds and Etta Mae Henderson.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, in the Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
