Carrol Sifford

Carrol Sifford, son of Elsie Frailey Sifford of Malden and the late Edward Luther Sifford, was born on Aug. 23, 1939, near Essex and died in his residence at rural Essex on July 28, 2009, at the age of 69.

Mr. Sifford was a member of the Broadwater Church Of The Brethren near Essex, a former machinist at Missouri Dry Dock at Cape Girardeau and a resident of rural Essex.

He was united in marriage to Connie Odom on Dec. 8, 1967, near Essex. Mrs. Sifford survives of the home.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Laminack of Essex; two grandchildren, Amy Michelle Phelan and Josie Stanley; his mother, Elsie Sifford of Malden; and one sister, Marian Thiessen of Dexter.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
