Marie Young

Marie Young, daughter of the late Edgar Spencer Hare and Amelia Dozier Hare, was born on Sept. 4, 1925, at Fulton, Miss., and died in her residence at Wappapello on Aug. 6, 2009 at the age of 83.

Mrs. Young was a member of the Church of Christ, a former machine operator for Blue Bell at Tupelo, Miss., and a resident Wappapello.

She was united in marriage to Dudley Young. Mr. Young preceded her in death.

She is survived by two brothers, James Hare of Essex and Eddie Hare of Wappapello; one sister, Charlie Mae Wood of Fulton, Miss.; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Visitatin will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larie Burdine officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
