Ray Glen Miller, son of the late Arvia James Miller and Vera Lorene Kirk Miller, was born in Grayridge on Aug. 29, 1936, and died at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on Aug. 26, 2009, at the age of 72.

Mr. Miller had lived in Dexter most of his life. He and his wife owned and operated Ray Miller Electric in Dexter, repairing air conditioners and furnaces. He was a member of the Dexter First Church of God.

On May 26, 1956 he was married to Patricia Earline Mclard in Orlando, Miss.

Surviving is his wife Patricia Earline Miller of Dexter, two daughters: Pamela Sue Lenox, Prescott, Ariz., Glenna Rene McClain, Dexter; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Betty Myers, Cozet Batton, and Pat Boster, all of Peoria, Ill. Other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Gene, Bob, Terry, and Floyd "Sonny" Miller.

Visitation will take place on Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Pastor Leonard Madigan of Dexter officiating.

Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery at Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
