Mr. Maddox was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarkton.
He was married on Dec. 27, 1989 in Clarkton to Candi Hart Davison and she survives of the home in Malden.
Along with his wife, Mr. Maddox is survived by a daughter, Cassidy Maddox of the home, one step-daughter, Lacey Winchester (Tommy), of Malden; two sons, Jason Maddox (Andrea), of Malden and Jeremy Maddox (Aimee Hosford), of Clarkton; seven grandchildren, Patrick and Carter Maddox, Dru Hosford Maddox, Cymber Arnold, Camille Winchester, Bree Winchester and Isaac Winchester; his mother, Rebecca Maddox of Clarkton; a brother, Kendal Maddox (Francis) of Clarkton; two sisters, Luann Jefferies (Jerry) of Fairdealing and Jeannie Bailey (Phillip) of Hot Springs, Ark.; nephews, Tyler Layne of Malden and Doug Bailey of Benton, Ark; Nieces, Julie Barker of Russellville, Ark. and Amy Maddox of Malden.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther W. "Lew" Maddox.
Visitation will take place on Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at 4 p.m. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Mr. James Powell and Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
