Lone Baker

Lone Baker, daughter of the late Johnie Baker and Icy Farris Baker, was born on Dec. 15, 1929, in rural Dexter and died on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, in the Golden Living Center in Dexter at the age of 79.

Ms. Baker was a member of the Pleasant Grove Community Church near Dexter, a resident of rural Dexter, a former bookkeeper for Bernie Coop and Ryan Construction in Sikeston.

She is survived by one brother, James Baker of Troy; one sister, Lucille O'Dell of Dexter; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Baker.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, from 5-8 p.m..

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Sycamore Cemetery with Rev. Ron Williams officiating.
