Joe Henry Cunningham, son of the late Charles Asa and Flora Pearl Reynolds Cunningham, was born in Bernie on July 31, 1934, and died at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid on Sept. 18, 2009, at the age of 75.

Mr. Cunningham had lived in Parma most of his life. He had attended the Church of God in Parma. He was retired from Brown Construction in Dexter.

On Jan. 13, 1954, he was married to Lillian Inez Tindle in Hernando, Miss.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian Cunningham of Parma; three daughters, Vicky Wagner and Lisa Hinds, both of Elkton, Ky., and DeDe Riddle of Parma; one son, Phillip Cunningham of New Madrid; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bud Cunningham of Sikeston, Arch Cunningham of Lovington, N.M., Bill Cunningham and Jack Cunningham, both of Wappapello; two sisters, Blanch Adams of Baltimore, Md., and Normalene Hart of Puxico. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lillian Burnett.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, after 1 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at 3: p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma with the Rev. Dean Medlin of Parma officiating.

Interment will be in the Parma Cemetery in Parma with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
