Rhonda Jean Batten Estep, 45, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at University of Missouri Healthcare Center in Columbia after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Estep was born Sept. 8, 1964 in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Estep was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a 1983 graduate of Twin Rivers High School and enjoyed working puzzles and watching movies.

She was formerly married to Bradley Martin.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Martin of Desoto; mother, Elizabeth Ann Barnett of Fisk; father and step-mother, Rondal and Peggy Batten of Dexter; one brother, Terry Batten and wife Dixie of Farmington; one sister, Lisa Asher and husband George of Poplar Bluff; and special friends, Dennis Crutchfield and Phyllis Brandt; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her step-father, J.V. Barnett; grandparents, Hershel and Ida Batten and Fred and Mary Lindsey; and one brother, Jimmy Barnett.

A memorial service was held Monday, Oct. 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Dennis Crutchfield and Bill Bradley officiating.
