Mrs. Headlee was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morehouse and a resident of Morehouse. She had worked in a packing house in St. Louis, numerous restaurants in New Madrid County and the Cleaners in Morehouse.
On August 7, 1944 she was united in marriage to William Preston Headlee in Morehouse. Mr. Headlee preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1987.
Mrs. Headlee is survived by three nieces, Faye Huskey of Dexter, Eulene Hulse of Kennett and Barbara Deming of Lakeland, Fla.; two nephews, James Albert Johnson of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Benny Joe Kasinger of Pekin, Ill.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Truman Frederick Shrum; two sisters, Lena Kasinger and Pearl Johnson.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted at 10:30 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Rev. Randy Conn and Rev. Ed Stoner officiating.
