Mary Lou Teel, the daughter of the late Harvey and Aureola Baun Dunn, was born in Illmo on Feb.19, 1927 and died at St. Luke's in Chesterfield on Oct. 23, 2009 at the age of 82.
Mrs. Teel had lived in the Essex area before moving to St. Louis many years ago. She was a proud homemaker and wife. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
On Dec. 24, 1948 she was married to Delbert Lewis Teel in Sikeston and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1994.
Surviving are four sons: Delbert Teel II of Charlotte, N.C., Dennis Teel of Indian Trail, N.C., Douglas Teel of Florissant and David Teel of Roy, Utah; by two daughters: Lana Clary of Stallings, N.C. and Lewisa Andringa of Oconomowoc, Wis.; by 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; by four brothers: Harold Dunn of Sand Springs, Okla., James Dunn of St. Peters, Phillip Dunn of Houston, Texas and Bill Dunn of St. Charles; by two sisters: Betty Ann Norton of Atlanta, Texas and Wilma Williamson of Dexter. Other relatives and friends also survive. She is preceded in death by one son, Victor Teel, one brother, David Teel, and two grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009, at 10:00 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Glenn Grahm of St. Louis, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
