County announces road closures

Stoddard County Commissioner Greg Mathis this morning is reporting a pair of road closures due to the heavy overnight rains.

The closures are:

* County Road 437 south of Hwy. J

* Hwy. D east of Hwy. 25

More closures are expected as the rain continues throughout the day.

Townships are asked to keep the county informed as to the various closures so that necessary emergency personnel can be informed as soon as possible.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution and not travel over water-covered roadways.
