Mrs. Gaskins had lived in St. Louis before moving to Bloomfield 20 years ago. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield.
She was first married to Carl "Pete" Tilley on Sept. 2, 1954, in Salcedo. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1998. On Oct. 22, 2002, she was married to Cleo Gaskins in Mt. View, Ark.
Surviving are her husband, Cleo Gaskins of Bloomfield; one brother, Lewis Hudson of St. Charles; one sister, Estelle Smith of O'Fallon; a niece raised as her daughter, Kelly Friedrich of Bloomfield; and her great-niece raised as a granddaughter, Danielle Dockins of Bloomfield. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Hudson and one sister, Ruth Mason.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the Chilles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Robert Long of Lincoln, Ill. and Rev. Dwight Hensley of Bloomfield officiating.
Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
