Daisy E. Pyle Brown

Daisy Brown, daughter of the late Calvin Pyle and Beda Dowdy Pyle, was born on Oct. 22, 1916, in Dunklin, County and died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on Monday Nov. 2, 2009, at the age of 93.

Mrs. Brown was a home-maker, member of the First Baptist Church in Bernie, member of the Eastern Star in Bernie, and a resident of Bernie.

On July 26, 1994 she was united in marriage to Fred Brown in Dexter. Mr. Brown preceded her in death on March 1, 2002.

Survivors include one son, Jim Brown of Columbia; two daughters, Barbara Mills of Dexter and Shirley Miller of Sikeston; also by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Charles Edward Brown; five brothers and four sisters; and one grandson, Bradley Mills.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, with Rev. Bill Garrett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sweet Prospect Cemetery near Malden.
