The board decided tentatively to proceed with planning the event contingent upon the fact that enough people volunteer to help to make it possible.
People are needed in many different capacities including to serve chili, help clean up afterward, collect door prizes and choirs are even needed to sing.
The owners of the Stars & Stripes Cafe have volunteered the use of their facility directly on the square for serving chili.
The event, which will take place on Dec. 4 will once again feature tea with Mrs. Claus in the Bloomfield Public Library again. The evening will begin with a light parade at 5:30 p.m. with prizes awarded for the best floats.
One change this year will be a limit of one door pirze per person.
All downtown businesses are encouraged to be open and have door prize tickets available for all who visit.
Anyone who enjoyed last year's event and wishes to see it repeated in a bigger and better way should contact Penny Shepard at City Hall or Kim Johnson at 568-2462.
