Mr. Taylor was a former employee of Taylor and Christian Auto Sales in Dexter, a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.
He is survived by one son, Randy Eskew of Sikeston; by three sisters, Margaret Owens of Olathe, Kan., Betty Price of Cape Girardeau and Connie Thompson of St. Louis; by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Rita Miller, Sharon Anderson, Virginia Thompson and Beatrice Sutton; by two brothers, Chester "Bud" Taylor and James William "Bill" Taylor.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
