Kermit Swindell

Kermit Swindell, son of the late Blain Swindell and Myrtle King Swindell, was born on June 11, 1920, at Swinton and died in his residence at Dexter on Nov. 5, 2009, at the age of 89.

Mr. Swindell was the owner of Swindell Auto Sales in Dexter, a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II, and was a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Mae Wiley on Nov. 18, 1949, at Piggott, Ark. Mrs. Swindell survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Raymond Swindell of San Diego, Calif.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Deloit Swindell.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5- 8 p.m on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dale Grissom officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
