With Americans celebrating Veteran's Day this week, do you have any particular veterans you would like to thank?

My late wife's brother now deceased himself. He was a WW2 vet, never talked about his experiences in the forests in France and Germany, but was headed to Japan after the fall of Germany and the H-Bomb saved him from making the trip RIP dear friend.

Well, this doesn't bode well for our patriotism, does it? I guess most people are like me -- no one veteran pops to mind. There are still some WWII veterans out there, but all of our veterans are remarkable examples of courage and self-sacrifice. It takes SO MUCH to serve in the military. I'm especially amazed by the ones who've gone back over three and four times!

I don't personally know any active duty military folks right now, but there are a couple of Marines (actually 3), that warrant a big ol' hug: Terry Dyer, Steve Lind, and Robert Winter..all good men and thank you just doesn't come close to covering it.

Please keep him in your prayers along with all the other men and women who are serving our country.
