W. Jackie Limbaugh Gill, daughter of the late Van L. Limbaugh, Sr. and Hazel Mitchell Limbaugh, was born in Kennett on Sept. 7, 1928, and died at the Breeze Park Lutheran Senior Nursing Home in St. Charles on Nov. 9, 2009, at the age of 81.
Mrs. Gill lived in Puxico until 1953 then moved to St. Louis where she worked for McDonnell Douglas as a Xerox operator. She was a member of the St. Barnabas Catholic Church in O'Fallon and enjoyed gardening.
She was married to Ralph B. "Buddy" Gill, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2007.
Surviving are two sons, Steve Gill of Wentzville and Dennis Gill of Perry; one daughter, Connie Scarry of St. Peters; five grandchildren; one brother, Robert Limbaugh of Edwardsville, Ill.; two sisters, Lola Griffin and Patty Hendrix, both of Puxico. Other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Hazel Limbaugh; one brother, Van Limbaugh, Jr.; and two nephews, Danny Limbaugh and Ronnie Limbaugh.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at 12 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Bro. David Edwards of Poplar Bluff officiating.
Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
