Retired second grade teacher, Cheryl Boggess, returned to the classroom Tuesday at the invitation of her colleagues at Southwest Elementary, to read to students in observance of Missouri Reading Week. Boggess entertained second grade students with a Thanksgiving story, after which the youngsters were supplied with cookies and ingredients to make their own Thanksgiving cookies. Busy at work constructing her piece of edible artwork is second grader, Lydia Whitaker.
