Meth, pot seized in two local busts

A Wednesday release from Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner reports the arrest of five individuals on drug charges.

The arrests took place through two separate, unrelated incidents.

On Jan. 2, Stoddard County Sheriff's deputies went to a residence in rural Dexter as the result of an ongoing investigation. The home was the residence of Roy A. Shepherd, 29, and Brittney D. Lambert, 29.

Deputies requested permission to search the residence and it was granted. Once inside the home, deputies located a methamphetamine lab along with an undisclosed amount of finished product.

Shepherd and Lambert were both arrested along with 25-year-old Jonathan A. McNeil of Bernie.

All three subjects are charged with the Class B felony of attempted manufacture of methamphetamine, the Class C felony of possession of precursors to the manufacture of methamphetamine, the Class D felony of possession of drug paraphernalia and the Class C felony of possession of methamphetamine.

Bond was set at $15,000 cash only for McNeil and $20,000 cash-only on Shepherd and Lambert.

In an unrelated investigation, on Jan. 5 deputies executed a search warrant on the residence of Johnny R. Hagy in the Essex area.

During the search, deputies located more than 35 grams of marijuana as well as scales according to the probable cause affidavit filed by Deputy Keith Haynes who made the arrest.

Arrested were Hagy, 32, and Alisha A. Morrison, 25 of Essex.

Hagy is charged with the Class B felony of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, the Class C felony of possession of marijuana and the Class A misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $25,000 cash-only.

Morrison is charged with the Class B felony of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, the Class C felony of possession of a controlled substance (two counts-marijuana and hydrocodone) and the Class A misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $25,000 cash-only.

All five subjects are currently being housed at the Stoddard County Jail awaiting arraignment Thursday morning before Judge Joe Z. Satterfield.

Littlegirl, I am sure the Hagy family doesn't appreciate you downing our family on here and who are you to do so. My Mother in law was a Hagy. Maybe you need to go back to school so you can learn to read. It says to and I quote (Please Be Respectful of other and try and stay on the topic). And yes I read it, but to get respect you have to give it. Before you open your mouth and run it you need to check your closets. And people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw the first stone.

I hope that they all get the maximum sentence possible and that their kids are allowed to grow up in normal homes wheere they are actually cared for. No slap on the wrist this time. Boy you sure made everyone proud! What a shock, that Roy Shepherd has caused his family heartbreak once again. Keep up the great work!

only god has the right to judge us for our mistakes. you shouldn't be so judgemental of others. GOD may someday put u in the same postion or someone u love just to show u how it feels sweetie!

ccryder_69, This is toughlove4u(for some reason I couldnt sign in under that so here I am). Just want you to know that God has put me in the place of being judgemental here as well as Roy Shepherd, darling. There are children and families involved that continue to get hurt by Roy Shepherd's better than everyone else attitude. When is it ever enough? His kids go without things so he can run a meth lab in his home! How many chances does he get? How many people have to be hurt? How many times does his mother and his children have to wonder if they will ever get to see him again or when the next time will be that he screws up! Why should he get anymore chances to throw out lame excuses to his family? What would you suggest to tell his son and daughter everday that the asked if they were going to get to see their dad or if they could even just call him? Would you feel that this was a sfae place to send your child? If so maybe we should start to question your judgement!

So 69, God is a God of revenge? Weird.

I say legalize Meth and set the age limit to 18. This would also help our obesity problem. I say only judge people if you think you know what it feels like to walk a mile in their mocassins.

i thought only god had the right to judge us?
