Lillie Edith Lee, daughter of the late Wesley and Stella Jane Vaught Pettit, was born in Texas County on July 5, 1912, and died at the Christian Northeast Hospitl in St. Louis on Jan. 8, 2010, at the age of 97.

She had lived in Dudley most of her life, and moved to St. Charles in 1999. She had attended the Dudley Church of Christ.

She was married to Thomas Gilbert Lee in Marble Hill. He preceded her in death on July 27, 2002.

Surviving are five sons, Robert Lee of Wappapello, Albert Vance Lee and Marshall Lee both of Pensacola, Fla., Gary Lee of St. Charles, and Wendell Lee of Cushman, Ark.; one daugher, Eunice Firle of Florissant; 17 grandchilren; 28 great grandchildren: and nine great-great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends survive.

She was preceded in death by one son, Casper Lee; two brothers, Casper and Albert Pettit; two sisters, Bertha Montgomery and Ruby Clegg.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, from 3-6 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Services will be held Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Dale Grissom of Dexter officiating.
