Geneva Nelson

Geneva Nelson, daughter of the late Ernest and Minnie Cantrell Faulkner, was born March 28, 1920, and died at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010.

On No. 2, 1938, she was married to George Wheeler Nelson. Mr. Nelson preceded her in death in 1988.

She is survived by six children, Patrick Nelson of Mena, Ark., Michael Nelson of Brooksville, Ky., Nancy Nelson Vines of Dexter, LouAnn Nelson Doyle of Evansville, Ind., John Nelson of Arvada, Colo., and Thomas Ryan Nelson; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gilbert Faulkner and John Vaughn of Dexter and Sam Faulkner of Bloomfield; two sisters, Donna RuthAnn Faulkner of Bend, Ore., and Virginia Meredith of Elizabethtown, Ky. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in bloomfield.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. . Father David Dohogne of Dexter officiated.

Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
