Mary Emojean Tucker, daughter of the late William Ray and Edna Loretta McCunn Bacon, was born Sept. 2, 1923, and died on January 25, 2010, at Brighton Gardens of Denver Nursing Home at the age of 86.
She had lived in Bloomfield for many years. She had moved to Florida for a brief time and then to Denver, Colo., three and a half years ago. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield and was a past member of the Eastern Star.
On Aug. 2, 1940, she was married to Charles Evans Tucker. He preceded her in death in on July 25, 2001.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Tucker of Bloomfield and Charles R. Tucker of Ocala, Fla.; two daughters, Sue Nance of Lyford, Texas, and Mary Tucker-Olive of Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Janice Bacon Asberry of Dexter and Vern Tucker of Catawba, Va. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Bacon.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, from 5-8 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 31, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Susan Hoyle of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
