Virginia Pauline Hart

Virginia Pauline Hart, daughter of the late Jess Bailey and Lena Clark Bailey, was born on Aug. 21, 1933, near Dexter and died in the Saint Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on Jan. 30, 2010 at the age of 76.

Mrs. Hart was a member of the Broadwater Church Of The Brethren at Frisco, a former employee of the United States Postal Service and a resident of Dexter.

She was first united in marriage to Wayne Millington on March 15, 1950, at Piggott, Ark., and to this union four children were born. She was then married to James Victor "Vic" Hart on Aug. 14, 1971, at Malden. Mr. Hart preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1979.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws, Tom and Jan Millington of Springfield and Steve and Julie Millington of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and William Churchill of Dexter and Janet and Gale Cardwell of Liberty; one sister, Betty Clay of Sikeston: 13 grandchildren, Anthony Shanks, Bill Churchill, Cheri LaRose, Kerri Christian, Jason Morgan, Davin Cardwell, Ashley Blackburn, Kate Millington, Bailey Millington, Ann Millington, Grace Millington, Craig Millington and Jennifer Millington; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Henry Bailey and Jimmy Bailey; three sisters, Kathryn Bailey, Delores Bowen and Gloria Livers.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1, 2010.

A memorial service was then conducted at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roger Wooten officiating.
