Geraldine "Jerry" Jarboe, daughter of the late William B. and Ione Woolem Chamberlain, was born in Parma on June 10, 1913, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Feb. 1, 2010, at the age of 96.
She had lived in Dexter most of her life. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter. She had worked as a beauty operator and had retired as a seamstress from Elder Manufacturing.
On Oct. 15, 1933, she was married to George Kenneth Jarboe in Dexter. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1981.
Surviving are one sister-in-law, Sherley Chamberlain of Dexter and many nieces and nephews. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Aubrey and Rod Chamberlain.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, after 11 a.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Lonnie Mittag of Dexter officiating.
Interment will be in the Bernie Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
