Wilma Williamson, daughter of the late Harvey Dunn and Areola Baughn Dunn, was born on Aug. 5, 1923 in Illmo and died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at the age of 86.

Mrs. Williamson was a homemaker and a resident of Essex.

On May 25, 1943 she was united in marriage to Billy Williamson in Richmond, Va.. Mr. Williamson preceded her in death on April 11, 2005.

Survivors include one son, Mark Williamson of Brittany, La.; one daughter, Sharon Lee Platipodis of Essex; four brothers, Harold Dunn of Oklahoma, Bill Dunn of St. Charles, James Dunn of O'Fallon, and Phillip Dunn of Houston, Texas; one sister, Betty Ann Norton of Atlanta, Texas; also by eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Dean Williamson; one daughter, Vicki Jo Williamson; one brother, David Dunn; and by one sister, Mary Lou Teel.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday ,Feb. 6, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Bradley Williamson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
