He was born on a farm on May 2, 1920 in Advance to Earl and Florence French. Earl retired from Federal Administration Agency. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Arena. He was the recipient of two purple hearts.
He always exhibited extraordinary kindness and selfless generosity throughout his life along with a strong devotion to his family.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel of 64 years. He leaves wonderful memories of his son, Allan French; daughter, Sue Lutz; granddaughter, Leigh Hagan; great-grandson, Aaron Hagan; brothers-in-law, Charles and Wilbert Gisi; sister-in-law, Jo Hice; and numerous loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
