Ruth Evelyn Crenshaw

Ruth Evelyn Crenshaw, daughter of the late Harve Burdine and Vesty Parks Burdine, was born on Oct. 1, 1915, at Bloomfield and died in the Golden Living Center at Dexter on March 15, 2010 at the age of 94.

Mrs. Crenshaw was affiliated with the Pleasant Grove Community Church, a former employee of the Elder Manufacturing Company in Bloomfield, the former owner of Ruth's Fabric Shop in Bloomfield, and a resident of rural Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Len Crenshaw on Oct. 16, 1931, at Bloomfield. Mr. Crenshaw preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1990.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Ruth Shrum of Owosso, Mich., and Pat Williams of Dexter: by; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Leon Crenshaw; and one brother, Clyde Burdine.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 ,in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Ledbetter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Harper Cemetery near Aid.
