Imogene Harper, daughter of the late John Wyatt and Rosa Masterson Musgrave, was born Jan. 16, 1928 in Wayne City, Ill. and died at her home in Bloomfield on March 16, 2010 at the age of 82.

Mrs. Harper had lived in Bloomfield most of her life. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.

On Dec. 22, 1945, she married Cecil Thurman Harper in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 1979.

Surviving are six daughters, Elaine Hutchison and Jeanne Kingree, both of Bloomfield; Susan Lewis of Bowling Green Ky.; Cecily Parker of Dexter; Tina Poe of Branson, Jennifer Lincoln of Columbia; one son, James Michael Harper of Austin, Ark.; 23 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two sisters, Melba Billsbrough of Flint, Mich., and Shirley Christmas of Dexter; and one spiritual son, Bob Roberts of Little Rock, Ark. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Bro. Dale Rogers will officiate.

Interment will take pace in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
