Dalton Becker

Dalton Becker, son of the late Henry Becker and Agnes Braswell Becker, was born on Aug. 9, 1935 at London, Ark., and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on March 28, 2010 at the age of 74.

Mr. Becker was a member of the Dexter Church Of Christ, a former plant operator for the City of St. Louis Water Treatment Plant, a member of Dexter Masonic Lodge #532 and a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Patsy Dooley on April 17, 1982 at St. Louis. Mrs. Becker survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Van Becker of St. Ann; one step-son, Tim Dooley and wife Chris of Pulaski, Wis.; one step-daughter, Terri Hernandez and husband, Mark of Charlotte, North Carolina: by one brother and sister-in-law, Desmond and Glenda Becker of Tanner; two grandchildren, Zackary E. Becker and Mackenzie M. Becker; four nephews and spouses, Tim and Melissa Backus of Dexter, Todd and Amy Backus of Puxico, Mark and Cathy Becker of Dexter, Brian and Laura Becker of Bloomfield; two nieces and spouses, Terri and Steve Ward of Dexter. Christy and Don Mathis of Crossville, Tenn.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey L. Becker; one sister, Lamona Backus; and one brother-in-law, Jerry Backus.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010.

A Masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in the Dexter Church of Christ with Travis Quetermous and Clyde Jacques officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
