Roy Gene Garner II

Roy Gene Garner II, son of Earlene Roberts Garner of Fisk and the late Roy Gene Garner, was born on May 23, 1969 at Alton, Ill., and died in his residence near Dexter on March 30, 2010 at the age of 40.

Mr. Garner was a member of the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church at Aid, a self-employed cabinet maker, a former employee of Rowe Furniture Company in Poplar Bluff and a resident of rural Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Pam Huber on Sept. 3, 2004 at Fisk. Mrs. Garner survives of the home near Dexter.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Dylan Garner of the home; three daughters, Afton Harris of Dexter, Ashley Garner and Ashlan Garner, both of the home; his mother, Earlene Garner of Fisk; three sisters, Janie Wheeler of Alton, Ill., Cindy Smith of Fisk and Lora Kay Sadler of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be held at the Liberty Hill Church at Aid from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2010.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, in the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Warren and Rev. Johnny Meese officiating.

Interment will follow in the Ash Hill Cemetery near Fisk.

Memorials may be made to the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church, 12760 County Road 420, Dexter, Mo. 63841.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
