Grady Spears
Grady Lee Spears, son of the late LeRoy Spears and Verla Allard Spears, was born March 7, 1933 in Kennett, and died on April 8, 2010 in the North Metro Medical Center in Jacksonville, Ark. at the age of 77.

Mr. Spears was a veteran of the United States Army, a former employee of Federal Mogul, and a resident of Dexter.

He was united in marriage to Verla Allard on Jan. 5, 1957 in Tunica, Miss.. Mrs. Spears preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 2008.

Mr. Spears is survived by one daughter, Sarah Chandler of Cabot, Ark.; three grandchildren, Carla Huggins, David Chandler, and Chris Chandler; by six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Spears.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:30 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunklin Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
