Dr. and Mrs. David Simmons of Dexter and Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Galey of Cookeville, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth Galey to Joseph Anthony Massa of Nashville, Tenn. Joe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Patterson of Indianapolis, Ind., and Dr. and Mrs. Joe Massa of Chattanooga, Tenn.

Megan graduated from Dexter High School in 2001 and received her bachelor of science degree in communication disorders in 2005 from Missouri State. In 2007, Megan completed her masters degree in speech-language pathology from Missouri State. She is employed by Williamson County School District in Nashville, Tenn., as an early childhood speech therapist.

Joe graduated from Avon High School in Avon, Ind. He then graduated from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University with a finance degree in 2004. He is a commercial real estate broker with Marcus and Millichap in Nashville, Tenn.

The wedding will take place in Brentwood Baptist Church in Nashville on July 24, 2010. A dinner and dance will follow at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
