Vhoris Leadley, son of the late Clarke Leadley and Maude Harris Leadley, was born on Feb. 15, 1932, in Bradford, Ill., and died on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield at the age of 78.

Mr. Leadley was a veteran of the United States Air Force, attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Dexter, and a resident of Dexter.

Mr. Leadley was united in marriage to Faye Brawley on Sept. 11, 1959, in Sherman, Texas. Mrs. Leadley survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, David Craig Leadley of Joshua, Texas; one daughter, Sondra Leadley of Dexter; one brother, Steve Leadley of Troy, Ill.; three sisters, Linda Leadley of Bradford, Ill., Bonnie Leadley of Peoria, Ill., and Virginia Leadley; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Carson Drawyer, Wendell Drawyer, Don Drawyer, Mark Leadley, and Ronnie Leadley; and one sister, Luva Drawyer.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, April 23, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Rev. Roger Wooten officiating. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
