Jean Bell, daughter of the late Jesse James Ferguson and Lera Ann Nelson, was born on Nov. 17, 1926 in Keiser, Ark., and died at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on April 26, 2010, at the age of 83.

Mrs. Bell was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, a housewife, and a resident of Dexter.

On Dec. 8, 1945, she was united in marriage to Quinton Rendell (Q.R.) Bell at Osceola, Ark. Mr. Bell preceded her in death on May 30, 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Bell on Wilson, Ark., and Lanny Bell of Bloomfield; one sister, Doris Ann Harper of St. Louis; also four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sue Thompson and Jessie Faye Ferguson.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday April 29, 2010.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 30, 2010, at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Travis Quertermous officiating.

Interment and graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Mississippi County Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Osceola, Ark.
