Hazel Lane

Hazel Lane, daughter of the late Daniel Wicks and Rosetta Chilton Wicks, was born on April 12, 1916 at Dexter and died in her residence at Dexter on May 15, 2010 at the age of 94.

Mrs. Lane was a former waitress in several Dexter area restaurants and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Charles William Lane. Mr. Lane preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1965.

She is survived by one son, Charles Conner of Dexter; two daughters, Rosie Gordon of Dexter and Treva Carlisle of Hartford, Mich.; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sons, LeRoy Conner, Calvin Conner, Rick Conner and Nick Conner; and one brother Marvin Wicks.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 1-2:30 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010.

Funeral services was then conducted at 2:30 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with David Looney officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
