Jewell D. Camp, daughter of the late David Macklin Davis and Minnie Hill Davis, was born on April 22, 1911, at Norris City, Ill., died on June 1, 2010 in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 99.

Ms. Camp was of the Presbyterian faith, a former seamstress at Elder Manufacturing Company in Dexter and a resident of Dexter.

She is survived by two nephews, Larry Fox of Dexter and Ollie Fox of Chicago, Ill.; two nieces, Leatrice Swinger and Marceda Wyman, both of Essex; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Anderson Davis; three sisters, Maude Davis, Jessie Vaughn and Pearl Fox.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dale Grissom officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery
