Herman Lynxwiler, son of the late John and Mattie Bennett Lynxwiler, was born in Pocohontas, Ark., on April 28, 1924, and died at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the age of 86.

Mr. Lynxwiler had lived in Blodgett and Sikeston before moving to Bloomfield in 1973. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.

On Aug. 27, 1955, he was married to Juanita June Collins in Pocohontas, Ark.

Surviving are his wife, Juanita June Lynxwiler of Bloomfield; six daughters, Belissa Durham, Valery Yeakey and Tonya Williamson, all of Bloomfield, Charlotte Henrickson of Batesville, Ark., Connie Juengel of Union, Marchelle Robey of New Madrid; one son, Herman Lyn Lynxwiler of Bloomfield; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Lynxwiler of Reno, Ark. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Mock; one brother, Jess Lynxwiler; three half-brothers, Elmer, Hubert and Herbert Lynxwiler; and two half-sisters, Mary Lynxwiler and Willard Gather.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
