Rachael Adelia Moore, daughter of the late John Luther Jones and Mary Alice Bull Jones, was born on July 28, 1923 at Knoxville, Tennessee and departed this life in the Golden Living Center in Dexter on June 28, 2010 at the age of 87.

She was united in marriage to Pastor Glen Moore on Feb. 3, 1945, where she partnered in the ministry of her husband in the Friends Church. She was also a former writer for the religious periodicals for the Friends Church. Pastor Moore preceded her in death on June 27, 1996.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter, a home-maker and a resident of Dexter.

She is survived by two sons and their spouses: John and Janet Moore of Dexter and Glenn and Wanda Moore of Lawrenceville, N.J.; by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Eugene Moore; by six brothers, Herman Jones, Isaac Jones, Ralph Jones, Robert Jones, Donald Jones and John Paul Jones; and by one sister, Betty Jones.

Visitation will be held at the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter from noon until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. A memorial service will then be conducted at 1 p.m. in the Second General Baptist Church with Rev. Joshua Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
