Tommy E. Hart, 87, was born Dec. 26, 1922, in Wardell and died June 29, 2010, in Bloomfield. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was a member of the Temple of Prayer in Bloomfield and a member of the Faith Apostolic in Sturdivant. He was a farmer who worked on the farm who liked to tell jokes, garden and sell his vegetables and spend time with his family.
He married Francis Marie Hollis in Caruthersville on Nov. 20, 1943, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Will and Lue Davenport Hart, and his wife of 63 years, Francis Hart.
He leaves the following to cherish his memory: four sons, Robert Hart and his wife Janie of Puxico, Edward Hart and his wife Linda of Puxico, Mark Hart and his wife Judy of Milford, Ill., and Lloyd Hart and his wife Sarah of Gridley, Ill.; four daughters, Jeanette Johnson and her husband Arline of Bloomfield, Juanita Stroup and her husband Bud of Puxico, Mary Watts and her husband Jenner of Puxico, and Wanda Denton and her husband Forest of Puxico; one brother, Frankie Hart; one sister, Willie Petty; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, in the John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti with Rev. Dale Holman officiating.
Interment followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Puxico.
Pallbearers were Thyrl Fisk, Glenn Holt, Jr. Hart, Danny Weedman, Matt Watts and Mark Hart, Jr.
