Donald G. Merideth, age 57, died July 22, 2010 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born September 12, 1952 in Matthews, son of the late Owen and Dorothy (Menz) Merideth. He attended First Christian Church, was member of White Water Masonic Lodge 417, past master of New Madrid Lodge, a member of Moolah Temple, SEMO Shrine Club and Clown Unit, and a Scottish Rite 32nd degree mason. He had worked for Noranda Aluminum before retiring in 2003; he was currently working as the maintenance supervisor at Atlas EPS, and was the star of the Ellis Battery commercials on KFVS 12.

On Aug. 31, 1996 he married Denise Wilson-Findley and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include one son, Allen Findley of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Kristi Merideth of Springfield, and Taryn Merideth of Paducah, Ky.; three brothers, Kenny Merideth of Essex, Carl Merideth and Dale Merideth both of Sikeston; four sisters, Jo Ann Hardin of Kewanee, Jeris Goetz and Katy Howell both of Sikeston, and Karen Wade of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren, Tyler Van Laningham of Springfield, and Coen Chustz of Paducah, Ky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira Merideth and Gary Merideth.

Friends may call Sunday, July 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. with Masonic Rites at 7:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home, where services will be held Monday, July 26, at 10 a.m.
