John Bader, son of the late Marcus Bader and Margaret Stuever Bader, was born on Sept. 21, 1946 in Poplar Bluff and died on July 30, 2010 at his residence in rural Bloomfield at the age of 63.

Mr. Bader was a former employee of Trinity Marine Products in Caruthersville, a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter and a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War.

On June 15, 1968 he was united in marriage to Jacquelynn Anne Coakley in Aurora, Ill. Mrs. Bader survives of the home in rural Bloomfield.

Besides his wife, other survivors include three sons, Tom Bader of Bloomfield, Marcus Bader of Farmington, and Tim Bader of Kennett; one daughter, Angela Bader of Dexter; one brother, Richard Bader of Overland; five sisters, Louise Glover of Sandwich, Ill., Martha Stause of Dexter, Helen Moore of St. Charles, Marcella Poelker of Overland, and Barbara Mainer of McClure, Ill., also seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Bader.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Monday Aug. 2, 2010 at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday Aug. 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter with Father David Dohogne officiating.

Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter with full military honors.
