Peggy Jarrell, daughter of the late Clifford Gaines and Helen Polasek Gaines, was born on Oct. 19, 1942 at Dexter and died in the Saint Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on Aug. 31, 2010 at the age of 67.

Mrs. Jarrell was a member of the Collins Chapel General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff where she served as the piano player,a hairdresser in Poplar Bluff for 40 years and a resident of Poplar Bluff.

She was united in marriage to Paul H. Jarrell Jr. on May 20, 1960 at Dexter. Mr. Jarrell survives of the home in Poplar Bluff.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jeff Jarrell and wife Barbara of Dexter and Roger Jarrell of Poplar Bluff: by three daughters, Tira Brake and husband Mitch, Chanda Pogue and husband Jeff and Jessica Jarrell all of Poplar Bluff: by five brothers, Bob Gaines, Dave Gaines, Frank Polasek, Timothy Polasek and Randy Polasek: by two sisters, Carol and Linda: by Great and Grand-Children, Ethan and Tyler Anderson.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rick White and Rev. Willis Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery.
