Linda Hutchcraft-Montgomery, daughter of Doris Hutchcrtaft-Owens of Dexter and the late Ray-mond Sessel Hutch-craft, was born on Nov.15, 1951, in St. Louis and died at her residence in Poplar Bluff on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at the age of 58.

Linda received her associates degree in nursing in 1981 from the University of Kentucky, Paducah, Ky., Campus:, in 1986 a bachelor of science from Murray State University, Murray, Ky.:, a master of science in nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky., in 1996; she completed her post master work as a nurse practitioner from the University of Missouri - St. Louis in 1996, and was currently working on her doctorate of nursing nractice at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. She worked as a nurse practitioner at Kneibert Clinic in Poplar Bluff for several years worked with other healthcare providers, was a member of the Fellowship General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and was a resident of Poplar Bluff since 1985. She also served on the Rogers Theatre, Inc., Board, the Historical Preservation Board and the Margret Harwell Art Museum Board. She also was an active member of the NRA.

On Aug. 25, 2007, she was united in marriage to Richard Montgomery in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Montgomery survives of the home in Poplar Bluff.

Besides her husband, other survivors include her mother Doris Hutchcraft-Owens of Dexter; step-father, Carl Owens of Dexter; by one daughter, Dreigha Lynn Smith of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Brant Hutchcraft and David Hutchcraft, both of Dexter; Mark Hutchcraft of Norfolk, Va.; one grandson, Cole Marshall Bearden of Poplar Bluff; and by many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Pastor Byron Beck officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery in Dexter.
