Deane Kirby
Deane Kirby, daughter of the late Warner Christian and Emma Harris Christian, was born on Aug. 28, 1930 near Puxico and died in the Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston on Sept. 19, 2010 at the age of 80.

Mrs. Kirby attended the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church at Aid. She was a homemaker and a resident of Bloomfield.

She was united in marriage to Edward Duane Kirby on Feb. 11, 1971 at Bloomfield. Mr. Kirby preceded her in death in May 2002.

Survivors include one son, Rich Richmond of Bloomfield; two daughters, Donna Deardorff and husband, Gary, Rebecca Gisi and husband, Ron, all of Bloomfield; one step-son, Steve Kirby of Oregon; one step-daughter, Debbie Keirsey of Sikeston; three brothers, Harold Christian of Madison, Ill., Allen Christian of Dexter and Charles Christian of Bloomfield; two sisters, Virginia Milner of Bloomfield and Betty McDougal of Sikeston; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Carroll Christian, and by two sisters, Maxine Underwood and Geneva Lewis.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
